Rivers and rapids are rated on an international scale which ranges from the easiest Class 1 to the near impossible Class 6. As the numbers get higher the difficulty and excitement increase.

Atha B Expressway
From novice to age ninety, no experience is necessary on the Athabasca River which is rich with historic references and scenic beauty. The calm, flowing stretches are peppered with small but splashy rapids. This is the ideal river for families with young children.
Round trip time: 2 hours from Jasper
Daily departures: 5:30pm – July & August Only

This trip starts at the base of Athabasca Falls and plunges through numerous rapids with high canyon walls on each side. After the canyon stretch, rafters enjoy the wide open views of the scenic Athabasca Valley to our take out.

‘Sunwapta’ is the Stoney Indian term for ‘turbulent river’ and this river lives up to its name. With a steep gradient and numerous rapids this is Jasper’s wild water rollercoaster ride. The only class 3 located fully within Jasper National Park it offers spectacular scenery and good wildlife opportunities. Don’t miss the high water mid-June to late July!
This trip does not require any previous experience and is suited for physically active individuals who are at least 12 years of age, weigh 90 lbs (41 kgs) or more and are looking for an exhilarating ride.

The Mighty Fraser River
From our launching point in the shadow of the Mt. Robson, the “Mighty Fraser” serves up turbulent rapids and swirling eddies bound to soak every rafter! After a short portage around thundering Rearguard Falls we continue down the river, splashing through large rapids dwarfed by steep canyon walls. This trip provides great opportunities to spot wildlife and seasonal spawning salmon.
This trip does not require any previous experience and are suited for physically active individuals who are at least 12 years of age, weigh 90 lbs (41 kgs) or more and are looking for an exhilarating ride.
